A global leader in sustainable engineering, environmental consulting and design, Stantec Reading’s staff have for two years been volunteering their time and energy to help care for and maintain Forbury Gardens, one of Reading’s most cherished green spaces.

Nominated for Business In Action, sponsored by Boyes Turner,  Stantec “exemplifies what it means to be a business truly embedded in and committed to its community.”

Stantec works closely with the head gardener to coordinate the initiative and their team has consistently shown up to support the upkeep of the park through gardening and tidying sessions.

“Their efforts have directly contributed to keeping the Forbury Gardens looking its best – ensuring it remains a welcoming and beautiful space for community members to enjoy and ready to host a wide range of local events,” said their nominator.

“What makes this initiative so special is the consistency and spirit of service behind it.

“Stantec's commitment goes beyond a one-off gesture; it's an ongoing partnership with the community that demonstrates genuine care for the people and the place.

“Their volunteers have given time, effort and heart to a space that matters deeply to the people of Reading.”
