The Way Ministry

A charity supporting people experiencing homelessness with compassion, dignity and respect has been nominated for Charity of the Year, sponsored by Cream Design.

The Way Ministry based in Fairview Community Centre on Great Knollys Street provides food every week for around 75 local people experiencing homelessness.

“The team are very kind and helpful and treat every person who comes for food with dignity and respect,” said the nominator.

The nominator praised The Way Ministry’s responsive and inclusive approach, particularly its willingness to welcome people from all backgrounds.

“I tried several organisations when I wanted to volunteer, but not all of them responded. The Way Ministry did, and they were incredibly flexible and welcoming.”

The nominator believes The Way Ministry deserves greater support so it can expand its work and provide even more help to people facing homelessness, including the potential to offer shelter at night.
