As Business Director at CultureMix Arts, Nathifa has played a pivotal role in its organisational growth, development, and long-term sustainability, helping to strengthen its position as one of Reading’s leading cultural organisations.

Her detailed management, commercial expertise and strategic planning have been credited with helping the not-for-profit music and Carnival arts company achieve a major milestone by securing Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) status, a significant achievement for the organisation and the wider community it serves.

“Her tireless behind-the-scenes work ensures a profound and lasting legacy for Reading,” the nominator added, helping to preserve CultureMix Arts’ important role as a pioneering, Black-led professional arts organisation.

Thanks to Nathifa’s efforts, thousands of local children, young people and adults have been able to participate in performances, workshops and cultural events that celebrate Caribbean heritage and bring communities together.

“Nathifa’s work directly enriches the lives of the people who take part in, watch and celebrate the vibrant cultural activities that CultureMix Arts delivers,” the nominator said.
