Berkshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre (BMSTC) has been recognised for the vital support it provides to people with MS and their families.

“It is an absolute lifeline,” said the nominator. “Providing vital physio, oxygen therapy and many other things, including laughs.”

The Centre has been praised for its welcoming and positive atmosphere, with staff and volunteers described as “second to none.”

“There is nothing like this in the area,” the nominator added.

BMSTC plays an important role in supporting people beyond clinical care, offering a safe and friendly environment where members can meet others living with MS, reducing isolation and building a sense of community.

“It is not only a sanctuary for those with MS but also a place to meet other ‘MSers’ and feel less alone,” said the nominator.

The Centre was also recognised for helping ease pressure on NHS services through its independently funded support and ongoing fundraising efforts.

“It is utterly unique in its offerings and invaluable…we are so fortunate to have this amazing place.”
