An organisation which helps young people with mental health support had been nominated for Charity of the Year.
The nominator said of Reading based No 5 : “They've helped my son so much with counselling.
“I've felt abandoned as my son's issues weren't 'box normal' and were related to other things. They do such valuable work in the community and are local.”
No 5, which was launched in 1971, offers free, confidential counselling and mental health support for young people aged 11 to 25 who live, work or study in the RG postcode area.
The award is sponsored by international recruitment firm Roc Search.
