No5
A former service user, and now employee, said of the youth counselling service: “No5 is a fantastic place to work.”
The nominator for the Great Place to Work Award sponsored by Kingdom Rooms said that after using the service they were supported into a voluntary role as a Young Ambassador for four years before being employed full time as soon as they graduated from university.
“This set the model for two other Lived Experience Young Leaders. The three of us now make up our operations team,” they said.
“We all feel very lucky to work at No5 … a great place to work because we have built such a cohesive, impactful, respectful team all who deeply value and understand each other, are willing to listen, learn, make mistakes and give each other feedback.
“We all see the impact that our roles make to the service, and ultimately to the support we are able to provide for local young people,” they said.
“We support each other and recognise how hard everyone works and how hard our jobs are in the face of escalating severity and need amongst young people, and in light of funding being harder and harder.”
Relationship, trust and confidentiality are fundamental to everything the charity does, they added.
