A bar owner in Caversham has been praised for her skill at creating a great experience but also for the way she looks after her staff.

Her nominator for the Hospitality Award, sponsored by Cream, said of Meena Arch: “Not only does Meena work tirelessly to create a great experience at Angel Bar for her clients but she really values, rewards and develops her staff.

“Meena also makes great contributions to the local community through her work with Pub Watch, Caversham Traders Association and Reading Business Club,” they added.

“Always willing to connect people and give her time, she's a real asset to Caversham's small business scene. If there's something Meena doesn't know about hospitality, then it isn't worth knowing!” they said.

Another nomination said: “Meena, Paul and the Angel Bar team go beyond the norm. They offer their services for free to organisations in and around Reading and put on many events at non-profit. They are truly wonderful individuals and deserve some recognition for all their efforts.”
