Claire Harrison runs a group called Fifi’s Vision which supports families and individuals with additional needs, as well as offering advice and support.

Her nominator for Neighbourhood Champion, sponsored by Reading Football Club, said: “She doesn’t ever say no to helping people and it’s not just at her support sessions each week she helps out. 

“Claire is always available on the phone or messenger if you have questions about paperwork, legalities or even any ideas how to help with X! 

“Claire is a lifeline to many families,” they added.

“She organises parents' nights out, understanding the need to be home for bed times. She also does sports sessions for everyone, cooking sessions and walking sessions. All for free!

“As a parent of SEN children I understand the value of being able to go on a day out and know people are there to support you with your child’s needs,” they said.

“Claire has changed my social life (for the better)! She not only understands the need for support on days out but she makes sure the parents get downtime too.”
