Gary Baynham

Dedicating countless hours of his own time to raising awareness of Motor Neurone Disease, Gary Baynham has gone above and beyond in his commitment to supporting the MND community, said his nominator for Volunteer/s of the Year, sponsored by AB Walker.

He not only organises impactful fundraising events and charity days, but also brings people together to share knowledge and support.

“His tireless efforts have helped raise both vital funds and much-needed awareness, making a real difference to those affected,” said his nominator.

“What truly sets Gary apart is the personal care and compassion he shows. He doesn’t just stop at organising events – he actively spends time with individuals living with MND, offering them experiences that bring joy and comfort.

“From taking them out for walks in nature, to arranging special days out that provide a sense of normality, independence, and companionship, Gary ensures that people feel valued, supported, and never alone.”

The nominator added. “His dedication has inspired others to get involved, helping to build a stronger community around the charity.

“Gary’s determination, kindness, and selflessness shine through in everything he does, and he has become a true role model for what it means to give back. His efforts have had an immeasurable impact, bringing hope, happiness and awareness where it is needed most.”
