Coaching Reading

A community of 30 volunteer coaches offering free personal development coaching to charity and community leaders in Reading, Coaching Reading has been nominated for two awards.

They have been nominated for Volunteer of the Year sponsored by AB Walker and Team of the Year sponsored by Cherubs Floral Design.

Since 2019, Coaching Reading has partnered with Connect Reading and Reading Voluntary Action to deliver over 230 one-hour pro bono coaching sessions to 55-plus clients, valued at £49,500.

“Our qualified and/or passionate coaches support clients over four to six months, helping leaders strengthen their organisations and better serve their communities.”

They also host speed coaching events once or twice a year, where attendees receive free 20-minute sessions. These events have been backed by past mayor Rachel Eden, and current mayor Mpofu-Coles is supporting our upcoming event during Black History Month on October 21.

In July, they ran a free Developing Leaders Workshop for 34 charity and community leaders, volunteering their time for free and working with Connect Reading with support from the University of Reading’s community engagement fund.

Workshop feedback was excellent.

Coaching Reading's clients include: No5, PACT, Launchpad, Sadaka, Refugee Support Group, Chemogiftbags, Alana House, Sport in Mind, Utulivu, and  the Reading Climate Change Partnership.

“We are proud to support the amazing people working to make Reading a better place for all.”
