The Skangsters

A band at the heart of Reading’s music scene for more than 30 years have been nominated for the Music Legacy Award, sponsored by Vale & West.

10-piece Ska band The Skangsters consistently deliver “outstanding live performances across private events, charity functions, and festivals,” said their nominator.

“Their longevity is a testament not only to their musical talent, but their genuine passion for entertaining audiences of all ages,” they added.

A beloved part of the local cultural landscape, the band is known for bringing people together through music and creating moments that stay with audiences long after the final note.

“The Skangsters will always be a part of Reading, and as long as they are around, they will always bring everybody together.”
