Fink Street Food
The UK’s first and only social enterprise street food and events caterer committed to breaking mental health stigma has been nominated for the Business in Action award, sponsored by Boyes Turner.
Fink Street Food “are an absolute powerhouse of community support,” said their nominator, praising the business’s ongoing work with local mental health charity, No5, and their dedication to making a positive difference across Reading.
In recent years, Fink “gone out of their way” to support young people’s mental health, taking part in BePurpleDay activities to mark World Mental Health Day, catering for training events and community football tournaments, and actively promoting the work of No5.
“They show such commitment to doing good for mental health in our community and have shown No5 such incredible support in recent years,” they added.
The business has also partnered with fellow Business in Action award nominees, Bkry, to co-deliver cooking sessions for young people waiting for counselling, helping provide supportive wellbeing activities and opportunities to build confidence and connection during difficult periods.
One of the most significant contributions has been Fink’s commitment to donating 50% of its profits to support mental health initiatives.
