Parents and Children Together (PACT)

Many workplaces claim to be a good place to work, but Parents and Children Together actually delivers, said a nominator for the Great Place To Work award, sponsored by Kingdom Rooms.

“I’ve never worked anywhere with such a friendly and professional group of people, all working together to make the charity the best it can be,” they said.

“I recently attended a new staff induction day and was amazed that the CEO, chair of trustees and heads of each department made time to be there to share details of their work and to meet the new joiners. There are also regular check-ins with the HR manager and even a ‘natter with Natausha’ to meet the CEO as part of the induction / welcome process.”

They said PACT provides a “genuinely welcoming, nurturing environment”, where everyone is passionate about what they do to support the families, women and children with whom the charity works.

“PACT offers lots of employee benefits too, including generous holiday allowance, plus two ‘celebration days’ and one ‘wellbeing hour’ per month to be taken when you wish.”

The charity offers flexible working, helping staff’s work life balance and overall wellbeing. Other benefits include competitive salaries which are reviewed regularly, supervision one-to-one meetings with managers and an employee assistance programme.

“It’s no surprise to me that PACT has so many long term staff when it really is such a great place to work,” they added.

Another nominator added: “At PACT, people are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you’re an employee, volunteer, or contractor, you are valued and appreciated in every role and service. PACT is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive workplace and we are proud to be a supportive team that collectively makes a real difference to people’s lives.

“In our last staff survey, 100 per cent of respondents said they felt proud to work for PACT and would highly recommend PACT as an employer.”
