A Reading FC fan’s quick action saved the life of a rival football supporter “demonstrating that life-saving rises above club loyalties”.
Off-duty Thames Valley Police officer Pippa Sharman was travelling to an away match in Luton last year when she saw Luton Town fan David Norman crash into another car after suffering a cardiac arrest. She dragged him clear and performed CPR until emergency services turned up.
David survived and the pair were re-united at a return match at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, sharing a heart-felt hug.
