A young mum of three who was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer, has along with her family, been lauded for their determination to spread awareness of the disease and its symptoms.
Sadly Shona Johnson aged 34 has passed away, but she knew she and her family had been nominated for the award which salutes a family who, through showing each other love, support, respect and kindness, deserve special recognition.
Shona was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer in May 2022 and through it all continued to raise awareness. Shona’s Stones was set up by Reading Kindness Rocks and used as a platform to continue to raise awareness by decorating rocks and planting them around the world. A truly wonderful family who have come together and shown strength in a time of vulnerability.
