The Pride of Reading Awards, which every year celebrate our fantastic town and its people, have an exciting theme for 2019 – love where you live.
And they want to see what it is people in Reading love about their town and what makes them proud to live in Reading... in photograph form.
The competition is sponsored by developer Berkeley Homes – currently creating a number of new build developments around our town. It is supported by the town’s premier arts organisation jelly.
Simply take a picture – on your phone is good enough – of your street, your house, your neighbourhood or anything else and mail to email@example.com with your name and telephone number. Or submit your entry through our Facebook page or Twitter with the hashtag #rdglovewhereyoulive.
And if you are one of the three lucky winners you could see your photo exhibited at the awards – and you’ll get a seat at the table for the prestigious lunch and ceremony and sit alongside representatives from Berkeley Homes and Jelly.
Deana Everingham, sales and marketing director of Berkeley Homes, said: “We are delighted to be involved with the Pride of Reading Awards for the first time this year - celebrating this dynamic town and its people.
“This year’s theme: “Love Where you Live” truly resonates with us.
“The Berkeley Group has been building new homes in Reading for over 13 years - we created Reading’s first urban village, Kennet Island, on Reading Southside.
“As a developer we are continuing to invest heavily in the area and will be creating a significant number of high-quality riverside homes in the centre of Reading over the next five years.
“Reading is a fantastic place to live - it has so much to offer both residents and businesses. We are thrilled to be actively involved in the regeneration of such a dynamic town..”
Said Suzanne Stallard of Jelly: “We want to see photographs of things we might never have spotted before.”
